Privacy Policy
Silver Mellow ("we") operates silvermellow.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- The email address you enter, and whether you confirmed it. We check deliverability with a third-party email validation service before sending anything.
- Technical characteristics of your device and browser: IP address, approximate location derived from it (country and city), user agent, screen and window size, timezone, language settings, and rendering characteristics of your graphics, audio and font stack. Combined, these let us recognise a returning visitor even without cookies.
- How you interacted with the page — time to first input, typing and pointer activity, and whether the email was typed or pasted. We use this to distinguish real visitors from automated traffic.
- Where you arrived from, including the advertising identifiers in the link you followed.
Why we collect it
- To run the service: to send you the confirmation email, to recognise you when you come back, and to keep your session working.
- To select which partner offers to show you, and to measure which advertising is worth paying for.
- To detect automated and fraudulent traffic. This is also why the device characteristics above are collected — they are the only reliable signal when cookies are blocked or cleared.
Who we share it with
We share your email address, IP address, approximate location, device characteristics and advertising identifiers with the advertising partner that supplies the offers you are shown. They use it to select offers and to attribute the referral.
We use third-party services to validate email addresses and to deliver email. They process this data on our behalf.
We do not sell your data to anyone who is not involved in delivering the service or the offers described above.
Cookies and local storage
We set cookies to keep your session, and to store the identifiers that let us recognise your browser. We mirror those identifiers into your browser's local storage and IndexedDB so they survive cookie loss. Clearing your browser data removes them, though the device characteristics described above may still identify your device.
How long we keep it
Records that were never linked to a confirmed email address are removed after 90 days. Browser identifiers expire around 400 days after your last visit. Confirmed email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including your email address and any device records linked to it. Write to [email protected] and tell us the address you signed up with.
Age
This service is for adults only. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page.
